Volunteer Opportunities

In addition to special projects listed on our Volunteer Opportunities Calendar, Donor Awareness Council has the following ongoing opportunities for volunteers. Specialized training will be provided.

Community Outreach Opportunities (Statewide)

  • Driver License Office Ambassador: Adopt one or more Colorado or Wyoming Driver License Offices in your area, visiting them 1-2 times each month to check on donor awareness displays and restock brochures and materials as needed.
  • Youth Community Ambassador: Excellent opportunity for students or teachers! Organize outreach efforts in your school by coordinating in-class and after-school club speeches; school health fair participation; donor drives and Bonfils Blood drives; school newspaper articles; assemblies and more.
  • Faith Community Ambassador: Coordinate donor awareness activities in your faith community by scheduling speakers during services, bible studies and other gatherings; writing articles for church newsletters and bulletins; coordinating material displays in religious organizations and libraries; organizing donor drives and more.
  • Speakers Bureau: Speakers Bureau participants are available to speak to businesses, schools and community groups about organ and tissue donation as requests arise.
  • Health Fair Representative: Set up and staff Donor Awareness Council booths at public health fairs, providing literature and information as needed.

Office Opportunities (Denver Only)

  • Data Entry Specialist: Assist with computer data entry for special projects such as volunteer database updates, driver license statistics tracking and more.
  • Office Assistant: Assist with typing, filing, organizing, special mailings and more.
